Pop Art celebrates the charm of vintage soda bottles through the bold lens of the Pop Art movement. Inspired by a collection of glass bottles seen at our local history museum, Christy created this hand-printed reduction linocut with two linoleum blocks and six ink colors.
Each print is pulled by hand in a small edition. Every ink color represents a fresh layer carved away from a linoleum block. The first block was carved and printed four different times to print yellow, bright green, medium green and dark green. The second block was used to print the warm tones: once for light orange and then the final pop of color in bright red.
• Hand-carved and hand-printed reduction linocut
• Limited edition of 20
• Signed and numbered by the artist, Christy Nesja
• Paper: Savoy 100% Cotton, 118 lb. Cover, Brilliant White
• Trim size: 11 x 14 inches
• Image area including signature: 9 x 12.25 inches
Perfect for mid-century modern decor, retro kitchen walls, or collectors of vintage-inspired artwork, this print combines nostalgia with contemporary printmaking. Sold unframed.
